Africa arise

They christened you dark
Seeing your paganism
And your demonic heritage
But the light has dawned
On you from heaven above
So as to prove
That God loves you
Just as you are

They said you were LAST
But God has made you FIRST
Even as He promised
Making you a people
Who were a non-people
Becoming His very own
The beloved of God
Wearing the robes of righteousness,
and salvation
Before the nations of the world

They plundered you
Misquoting the Holy Ghost
Who inspired the WORD
Meant only to achieve
The will of the Father
But misused and abused
To become justification
For the settlers’ tyranny
And their so-called civilisation
As they introduced upon the land
A spiritual oppression

They plundered you, beloved continent
But now has come your day
Now is your appointed time
To arise from your slumber
To stretch forth your claws
To open wide your jaws
And devour the wicked
Breathe upon the land
A breath full of fire
The fire of the Word
Burning all the way
Into every man’s soul

Arise Africa
Let your glory be manifest
Breathe unto Europe fire
Breathe unto America fire
Breathe unto the Middle and Far East fire
Melt away all the strongholds
Of the wicked one

As you sent into the world
One missionary after another
All prepared for war
To crush all immorality
To crush all hypocrisy
In the world
Through the Word
