Closer and closer I fly
To the flame and heat
Of the mighty Spirit
The Holy Spirit of God
The fire that burns
The fire that refines,
And fully cleanses me
Closer and closer I come
To the presence and enveloping power
Of our Mighty Father
Of the Prince of peace,
Of the King of kings
Who rules and reigns
Above the entire universe,
Above all powers and dominions
Closer and closer I come
To the intimacy and communion
To the fellowship and dependency
On our Holy, Holy, Holy Spirit
In submission and obedience
As I yield and surrender all
To His strong trustworthy control
Into His hands I fall
In His counsel I dwell.
